After a 35+ year long career, Motley Crue is taking the stage one last time for “The Final Tour.” The tour marks the band’s final stint before the members retire. “The Final Tour” kicks off in Grand Rapids, MI on July 2 and will hit 72 cities before embarking on one last international tour in 2015.
Alice Cooper joins the rock legends in one of the best classic rock tours of the summer. Throughout their three decade career, Motley Crue has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide and sold out numerous tours around the world.
Fans can expect to hear the band’s chart-topping hits like “Kickstart My Heart,” “Home Sweet Home,” “Girls Girls Girls,” “Shout at the Devil” and “Dr. Feelgood.” Fans can also look forward to an explosive show with unparalleled live production. Nikki Sixx, the band’s bassist, teases that they plan on pushing the envelope with this tour to make their final performances unforgettable.
The LA natives began their career in 1981 and went on to become one of the best-selling groups of all time. The heavy metal band has sold more than 75 million records worldwide and 25 million in the United States. Motley Crue boasts 22 Top 40 hit, three Grammy nominations and a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
Alice Cooper may be opening the show, but he’s a legend in and of himself. Cooper is credited with paving the way for theatrics and shocking onstage images in concerts. His top hits include the classics “School’s Out,” “I’m Eighteen,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” “Poison,” “Welcome to My Nightmare,” and “Desperado.”
Motley Crue kicks of their farewell tour in Quebec, Canada and will spend the next two years on the road. The band signed an official Cessation of Touring agreement to solidify their retirement.
