The Monumentour was first announced in January of 2014 and has finally rolled into town. First opening up in Hartford, CT the tour will be going from the east coast to the west coast and eventually end with a final performance in Concord, CA on August 17th.
Fans were ecstatic to hear that Fall Out Boy put an end to their struggles and finally reunited, but no one expected a tour to be scheduled with Paramore. The tour itself has an end date of September 12th, but the end of the tour will be without Paramore. In total, Fall Out Boy will be seen playing 43 shows.
Fall Out Boy recently revealed that they were penning their 6th studio album, but the set list provided will not include any new songs. Pete Wentz, however, was ecstatic to announce the set list of the tour after the band’s 4 year split. Some of the hits that fans will be able to hear include “The Phoenix” and “Light ‘Em Up.” Anyone that loves the drums will be happy to hear that a solo will be performed.
Paramore has been active since 2004 and Hayley Williams will surely be energetic on stage. The band has had major success throughout the years with albums going platinum and a huge release of the band’s latest album dubbed “Paramore” reaching the top of charts in the US, UK, Australia and various other countries. The songs that have been added to the band’s set list include “Still Into You” which will kick off the night and eventually the last song of 14 played will be “Ain’t It Fun.”
The Monumentour will also include an opening act from Denmark called New Politics. The alternative rock band has been active since 2009 and has been included in previous Fall Out Boy Tours. The band’s most successful songs are “Harlem” and “Tonight You’re Perfect.”
