Drake Vs. Lil Wayne The Tour
Drake and Lil Wayne have been tied together since Drake become a megastar, but these two larger-than-life figures have now decided to make rap history with a 31 city tour dubbed “Drake vs. Lil Wayne.” Kicking off the tour in New York, the two stars will be going to Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Dallas before eventually coming to an end in Woodlands, TX on September 27th.
Drake and Lil Wayne will be battling for rap supremacy so it is going to be an interesting tour to see who can get the crowd on their feet. Lil Wayne has declared himself as the best and Drake has reached superstardom, so how will the show go? No one knows for sure, and the two stars are hoping to keep it that way until the first show begins.
Drake has been around since 2001, but he didn’t gain recognition until “Best I Ever Had” spurred him into the spotlight in 2009. Selling over 5 million albums worldwide, Drake has no shortage of fans that will be coming to see his show. Fans can expect to hear “Started from the Bottom”, “The Moto” and a range of other songs.
The mentor of Drake was Lil Wayne, and the 31 year old can be expected to bring down the house during the show. There are a lot of songs that Wayne can include, but some certainties are “How to Love” and “Believe Me,” which comes from Wayne’s upcoming album Tha Carter V. If Wayne holds true to his word, this may be his last album and retirement is looming in the future.
Drake and Lil Wayne have been on each other’s albums for the last 5 years, and it will be interesting to see which songs the two perform together on stage. Fans can expect a wild night filled with guest appearances from many of the Young Money signed artists.
